Eden Scott's fast growth client is looking to recruit an experienced Network Engineer to work in their established Network Operations Centre (NOC). You will be responsible for implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting and administration of their global low latency network infrastructure. Responsibilities include: Responds to escalated issues Troubleshoots network failures and errors, diagnoses, isolates, and resolves routine to moderately/highly complex network related problems ensuring timely results and minimal disruption of operations and report's findings to the Network Engineers. Assists with developing, monitoring, and implementing network security procedures for safeguarding all networking systems. Implementation resource for project work, working in conjunction with Design resource, configuring and testing new installations Some international travel for project work is possible Maintains records of work completed and in-progress and updates network documentation to record installations, upgrades, configurations, etc. Other Duties Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of rapidly changing computer network technology. Performs any other related duties as assigned by the Network Engineers or other appropriate administrators. Skills/Experience At least 3 years' experience as a network engineer preferably in low latency networking / financial markets sector. Experience in some or all of Juniper, Cisco, Windows, Linux products and configurations (Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, Redhat RHCSA an advantage). Knowledge of Layer2 technologies, routing protocols (e.g. BGP), policy-based routing, firewalls and network security principles. Must possess knowledge and ability to apply the principles and practices of design, configuration, installation, testing and maintenance of computer networks. Must possess knowledge of computer network characteristics, network operating system software and network components (i.e. network servers, switches, routers, cabling).
