Change Audit Manager - Edinburgh Salary c. £66,000 - £79,500 + Excellent Benefits Benefits - Bonus at target, 28 days holiday + stats, contributory pension We have an exciting opportunity for a Change Audit Manager to join the Group Internal Audit Team in Edinburgh on a permanent basis. The main purpose of this role is to provide risk and control subject matter expertise in change risk, governance and assurance. The successful candidate will draw on experience of market practice in relevant industries in order to provide insight and challenge to change leaders and executive programme sponsors. Working independently to deliver robust, independent assurance to plan, across strategic transformation programmes and change portfolios on behalf of the Group Audit Committee. Core Responsibilities: Deputising for the Regional Head of Audit on strategic change programmes and solving complex issues Taking a broad perspective to identify and recommend solutions and can apply them in dynamic changing environments. Assuring application of effective change methodologies and standards and the embedding of the Group's Risk Management System, including challenging programme leaders on risk identification, assessment and reporting against risk appetite. Working with and influencing senior stakeholders to embed risk management and controls into strategic decision making. Building credible and powerful relationships with senior stakeholders, demonstrating robust judgement, insight and thought leadership. Chairing meetings with senior managers, programme leaders and sponsors and GEC members. Generating recommendations that demonstrate commercial awareness and that improve change governance, business processes and controls Providing challenge to strategic programmes throughout their life cycle. Responsible for planning, execution and reporting of internal audit reviews. Identifying and assessing key controls and the programme's management of them. Integrating audit delivery within a joined up three lines of defence model. Responsible for driving the GIA change assurance strategy, providing independent risk-based assurance over a diverse range of change initiatives including strategic, digital, transformation and regulatory. Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of project management principles, practices and methodologies. Assessing and enhancing the maturity of change risk management through deep dives, and thematic analysis as well as providing challenge to the change risk framework. Skills, Qualifications & Experience: The successful candidate will possess a strong background in change and programme assurance in a first or second line risk, or internal audit capacity within either a financial services setting or alternatively exposure to large change programmes within professional practice. Recognised relevant professional qualification (ACA, CA, Prince 2, APMP, MSP or MOP) Sound knowledge of the recent developments and challenges that the Insurance industry faces and can assess how best to respond to the resultant risks Innovative approach to solving problems - ability to think laterally and challenge the status quo Experience of working within an Agile environment Comprehensive knowledge of life and pensions insurance products throughout their lifecycle (e.g. from design to launch, sales, experience and understanding of the distribution of insurance products to customers) is desirable.
