Loan Product Migration Manager - 12 Month FTC

A fantastic opportunity has just become available for an Loan Migration Manager in Edinburgh for a well known and reputable financial service client who are looking to hire an individual with extensive loans or commercial product experience to sit within a large programme on a 12 month fixed term basis in Edinburgh paying circa £48,000 per annum, plus benefits.

This role is required to represent the Loan Commercial team in all aspects of activity required to support a Loan platform and customer migration from both a technical and commercial viewpoint. The role involves working with the existing Loan team to define Product migration requirements and testing including product configuration, business processes, data mapping, reconciliations, sampling, business checkouts and first occurrence validation.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Lead the Loan team to gather a comprehensive set of product configuration and data mapping requirements that ensure that the target systems can operate, and work with the other functions.
  • Using experience and through understanding the Loan team's requirements, ensure that a full Product schedule of events is designed, tested and implemented, covering pre and post go sampling, check outs and reconciliations
  • Ownership and delivery of all aspects of the Loans Team Business operating model(s), including cross organisational engagement to ensure that end to end processes are mapped and that clear accountabilities are understood and agreed by each functional area
  • Manages business engagement to understand, challenge and document underlying business needs, translating these into project scope, objectives and business goals.
  • Designs and facilitates business need workshops to analyse, define and prioritise requirements, challenging thinking and agreeing outcomes to ensure robust requirements development and approval
  • Defines and manages the documentation of business requirements (including requirements catalogues and traceability matrices) and prepares business case underpinning solution options
  • Owns resolution of business issues, identifying and managing mitigating actions against design risk

Skills, knowledge and experience required:
  • Experience in the financial services industry, preferably within Loans
  • Experience in product/commercial management, risk management. Good knowledge and understanding of retail credit products.
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Experience working on an integration or migration programme, preferably in process mapping, testing and business readiness
  • Well organised and able to prioritise workload in line with tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure
  • Excellent team player with ability to working closely with others to deliver results
  • Excellent written communication - business and project reports
  • Exceptional communication skills - ability to communicate effectively with anyone in any environment.
