Job description: Core-Asset Consulting's client, a global financial services firm, is looking for a Fund Accounting Oversight Manager to join their team in Edinburgh on a permanent basis. The purpose of the role is to ensure that all deliverables are produced and dispatched on time, in accordance with client service level agreements. You will also serve as an entry point for any client queries and you will be responsible for staff management overseeing the objective setting and appraisal process for direct reports. Core requirements: Fund Administration experience is essential, preferably at a large financial institution Demonstrate good understanding of basic accounting principles Ability to manage day to day workflow of a pricing team Experience of staff management IAQ qualified Comprehensive knowledge of fund accounting and investment operations processes Broad understanding of investments, funds and regulatory accounting standards In depth knowledge of MS Office suite of applications, particularly Excel Flexible and positive attitude Good leadership skills Good communication skills Attention to detail Ability to work under pressure Core responsibilities: Manage all team deliverables and effective utilisation of resource with the support of the Pricing Manager Identifying issues and problems in the service delivery and take remedial action, keeping the Pricing Manager informed Provide daily / weekly MI which clearly identifies the progress of the team Actively participate in the objectives and appraisal process Ensure the immediate line manager kept aware of all issues/problems/queries/work in progress that may impact the quality of service being given Gather and present information for any internal/external audit Ensure that all team members follow procedures and complete checklists Understand risks and make sure that appropriate, clearly defined controls are established and executed.
