MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and/or run day-to-day operational aspects of assigned projects
  • Create and execute project plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Work with key stakeholders to scope and manage fulfilment of Project Resourcing through defined project management methodologies
  • Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to client
  • Provide effective Risk Management on all allocated projects while working to resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion
  • Ensure project notes and minutes are accurate, well organized and stored appropriately
  • Inspire team members to attain goals and pursue excellence
  • Take lead role in ensuring Change Management practices are adhered to within projects.
  • Set and manage client expectations
  • Establish and deliver effective communication plans for each project
  • Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
  • Build a knowledge base of each client's business, organization and objectives
  • Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions
  • Ensure projects follow predefined quality management procedures
  • Manage and report on each project at a commercial and quality level
  • Produce and present project based summaries at project steering group level both internally and externally.
  • Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
  • Ensure projects are on budget, within delivery timescales and quality goals at all times.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to identify and negotiate business development and "add-on" sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project(s)
  • Experience of managing end user software implementation projects ideally in Manufacturing vertical especially Life Sciences
  • Must have strong communication, commercial and team leadership skills
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and associated processes
  • Must be able to operate both on a commercial and technical level and apply a balanced view on projects/contracts
  • Possess general understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design
  • Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on client engagements
  • Experience of Microsoft Project and or similar Project Planning tools
  • Any experience in delivering projects in a regulated environment (validated) - strongly preferred.
