Server engineer / 2nd line support - South Birmingham
An excellent opportunity to join an established and successful team in a server engineer / 2nd line support role. Work will involve providing technical support to staff within the south Birmingham office and across several regional offices.
As part of the day to day of the role, the successful candidate will be maintaining operational business as usual, taking incidents, problems and changes through to resolution as well as delivering project builds. Although the role is predominantly responsible for server support, the successful candidate will work closely with network, field and application support teams.
Experience in the following is required:
- An understanding of maintaining Windows 2008/2012 Server
- Experience with VMware
- Active Directory management
- DV clearance or Eligible for DV.
The role will provide technical support expertise working within a quickly growing team of multi-skilled server engineers utilising the latest technologies. This role is ideal for candidates aiming to increase their knowledge as a server engineer whilst working in a challenging and fast paced environment.
The role requires a flexible working approach, working onsite as part of a 4 day rota between 7am-7pm Mon-Fri and 1 weekend a month.
