Internal Sales Engineer (Industrial automation)
My client is a leading Automation and Controls distributor, supplying some of the worlds largest names in Industrial Automation. Die to a successful period of growth for the business, they are now looking to recruit an Internal Sales engineer to join them at the company offices in Stockport.
The Internal Sales Engineer acts as the first point of contact with the customer, portraying a professionalism and confidence that delivers the ultimate in customer service. To deliver this level of credibility you will need to have previous experience working within industrial automation or process technology, particularly you will have knowledge and experience of drives, sensors, PLCs, I/O terminals etc, so that you can talk confidently about these parts and components and also make recommendations to customers to provide a full, bespoke solution.
As a key member of the team you will work closely with the field sales team to build close relationships with our customers.You will also deal with technical sales enquiries, produce accurate and competitive quotes and realistic and innovative solutions to meet the customers needs.
This role could ideally suit an experienced internal sales engineer or coordinator, a service engineer or external sales person looking to move into a more internal sales role, with a strong background in process technology or industrial automation.
Manage and interpret both new and existing customer requirements.
Deal with customer queries and advise accordingly
Generate accurate and competitive sales quotations to meet the customers requirements.
Focused on winning business for the company and helping to achieve the branch sales targets.
Accurately process customer orders and manage accordingly, ensuring we always provide a high level of service.
Help to build close relations with customers and suppliers.
HNC/HND or equivalent in electrical/electronic engineering
A good working knowledge of industrial automation parts and components.
Excellent organisational skills
Results driven and customer focused
Good IT skills are essential.
Team player and Self starter
In return my client offers a competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000 plus a benefits package including a generous pension, Private health care scheme and 23 days holiday plus bank holidays.
