Technical Product Manager (Big Data | Start up | Agriculture)

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Technical Product Manager, with experience in the Agricultural industry, to take the lead on shaping their flagship product, alongside the Senior Stakeholders.


The company are continuing to grow their in house Product Development team, based in Reading, with a Technical Product Manager. They are tackling big challenge in the Agricultural industry, using Data Science and are creating a semantic web based platform that will offer data-as-a-service. This will require a Product manager who as experience of road testing data-centric software products, for a wide range of customers; mainly technical audiences.

The main focus will be product focused on their flagship platform, advocating the voice of the user and developing a deep understanding of their needs. As a Product Manager, you will understand the full Software Development Lifecycle, be able to communicate effectively with technical audiences and act on evidence from research, rather than opinion

This is an exciting time to join, and will be the definitive position to create an amazing product that affects real world problems.

Skills Required:

*Ability to apply User Research and advocate the customer
*Experience managing products through the full lifecycle
*Deep understanding of a "technical audience"
*Passion and experience in areas such as Data Science/Analytics/API Products
*Previous experience of product development within the Agricultural industry

Other Desirables:

*Strong experience of Agile methodologies including Scrum, Test / Behavioural Driven Development
*Business analysis experience e.g. writing user stories, testing the solutions
*Experience working in a Start up
*Excellent communication skills are a must!

Salary for Technical Product Manager:

£45,000 - £60,000
