The Role:

  • The Technical Product Manager will manage the product portfolio which will include introducing new products, managing existing products through their life cycles
  • As Technical Product Manager you will be responsible for uptake and dissemination of The Group's Commercial and Technical Strategy and then relaying that to the UK Business, Internally and Externally, working with Marketing Teams and the Internal Sales Force
  • You will be responsible for gaining a thorough understanding of the market and future trends including key customers, end-user clients and competitors and using this information in forming the product strategy
  • On the basis of Technical Knowledge you will establish relationships with new suppliers of Building Products in order to create an effective supply chain for the development and introduction of New Products as well as strengthen existing products
  • Generally there are 3 Storm Water product ranges 1) Water Cleansing Products (Petrol Interceptor, Hydrodynamic Seperator) 2) Water Holding (attenuation tanks) 3) Flow controllers
  • 5 days a week in the Head Office in Bedfordshire however the first week induction will take place in the Manufacturing facilities in Austria
  • International Travel will be a part and parcel of the role
  • As Technical Product Manager you will design New Product Ranges and be able modify current product ranges using AUTOCAD and Solidworks, you will be responsible for initial Technical Product Development making sure the company stays ahead of the curve
  • You will participate in the organisation and running of key customer events and trade associations
  • The Technical Product Manager will be responsible for setting, monitoring and reporting pricing positions

The Ideal Person:

  • Ideally will have Marketing professional, CIM Marketing diploma or equivalent experience, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Understanding and Experience using AUTOCAD and/or Solidworks
  • Proven work experience in product management, preferably in an engineering and/or construction related sector or B2B product sector
  • Proven campaign and communication plan building and implementing experience
  • Cradle to grave Product Development/Management experience and the ability to undertake strategic and tactical marketing activities
  • Technical knowledge of products and systems or ability to learn quickly
  • Understanding of building regulations
