JOB TITLE: Employment Solicitor

PQE REQUIRED: 5 years+ PQE

LOCATION: Nottinghamshire (Commutable from Nottingham, Derby, Newark, Loughborough, Leicester, Long Easton)

SALARY: Excellent

THE ROLE:

Our client is rapidly becoming a major player in the regional market and their employment team is doing better than ever. They are, therefore , seeking to recruit an additional, experienced Employment Solicitor to expand the expertise and offerings of the team. The appointed Solicitor will take on their own busy and varied caseload of employment matters and will be expected to handle these matter independently. In addition, the Solicitor will be expected to supervise more junior members of staff, and ensure that they are working towards their professional goals. This role is an excellent opportunity for an Employment Solicitor to help drive a department forward and contribute to their growth plans for the next few years, as well as making a name for themselves as an expert in the local market.

THE CANDIDATE:

The ideal Employment Solicitor will have at least five years of post qualification experience gained in an employment department at another recognised firm. The Solicitor should have proven experience of handling a mixed caseload of both contentious and non-contentious matters including employment contracts, discriminations claims, TUPE, redundancy, unfair and constructive dismissal. Our client will consider applications from both qualified Solicitors and Legal Executives, provided they have a solid understanding of the practice and procedure in the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal. It is desirable that our client has had proven experience of working with train unions and of providing briefs and training on employment matters to clients.
