A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant here at Alliance Trust Savings in Dundee . We are keen to hear from enthusiastic Finance/Accountancy graduates or individuals with Cashier experience who are looking for exposure to an office environment within Financial Services. Based within the Cash Reconciliations team , the role holder would be responsible for delivering operational excellence in completing bank reconciliations as well as the analysis and distribution of reconciliation exceptions to the relevant operational teams for timely resolution. Key Responsibilities: Report any operational breaks to the relevant operational teams Support root cause analysis of reconciliation exceptions (including complex cases) and continuous improvement of processes & MI as a result Support Operational Finance Manager with collation of weekly & monthly MI for Senior Management and Financial Control and Operations Forum Support development and implementation of Autorek and other ad hoc projects What you'll bring This role will have a responsibility to abide by FCA principles with regards to treating customers fairly and an understanding of the Client Asset (CASS) rules would be beneficial given the impact bank reconciliations breaks can have on clients of the Company Strong Excel skills are essential Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy is essential Accounting qualification equivalent to Higher, HNC or HND would be desirable or Cashier experience within a highly regulated environment What you’ll get in return By joining us on our journey to be one of the financial services providers of choice, you’ll gain insight and exposure to a fast-paced but rewarding and engaging environment.
