Trading Applications Specialist / DevOps Engineer

Exciting opportunity to join a leading and well know trading firm based in London working within their Tech Ops / Trading Applications DevOps team. We are looking for experience of working within a DevOps ops role but also experience of working within financial / trading organisations.

Key Responsibilities:
Proactively manage business critical real-time trading systems, middle office systems, back office and settlement systems, identifying issues and potential problem areas.
Actively identifying incidents and as necessary managing the incident resolution process, providing service recovery while managing client communications and their expectations.
You will be responsible for both supporting the API and working on it and its documentation.
You will monitor order life cycle within proprietary trading environments and troubleshoot system level trading issues.(2nd line)
Working through Disaster Recovery planning and testing.
Working closely with the business to provide assistance on technology decisions.
Responsible for all trading system, middle office, and back office system upgrades.
On boarding and training new clients

Experience required
DevOps experience or very strong trading application support with a passion to move into DevOps
Ability to build your own dashboard
Strong scripting skills - bash / Powershell
Experience in high frequency markets
Ability to code and read code (main language C++)
Experience working in a global trading support team and experience troubleshooting real time trading systems.(2nd line)
Ability to read source code.
Working knowledge of FIX and ability to perform FIX certifications
Knowledge of electronic trading systems
Linux or Unix scripting
