We have partnered with a beautiful, luxury ladieswear and childrenswear brand currently recruiting a Garment Technologist to join the growing business.

Technologist will be:
-Working closely with both design and production teams
-Experience managing pattern cutters and machinists.
-A proven track record of setting and achieving quality standards, across a variety of product categories.

Key Responsibilities

-To support the design team through all stages of garment creation for childrenswear and womenswear - attending proto and SMS fittings, giving guidance on measurement specifications and garment construction, ensuring that garments are created to the required quality and specification.
-To work alongside in-house pattern cutter to ensure initial designs are handed over with correct specifications, and that all alterations are applied to patterns before they are sent to factories for SMS.
-To send out PP tech packs to factories
-To liaise daily with factories on any technical issues they may have, and bringing solutions.
-To measure and review all proto and SMS samples before fittings, for womenswear.

-To assist Junior Technologist in management of the critical path, aiding in prioritising styles and supervision her workload, ensuring she meets sign off deadlines for PP.
-To attend all childrenswear fittings, assisting the Junior Technologist and knitwear developer with comments.
-To support Junior Technologist in completion of comments and grading, instilling knowledge and advice on how to alter fit and improve construction.
-To assist Junior Technologist with any factory queries or issues relating to PP comments.

-To measure and review all samples from SMS through to sealed production samples, for womenswear.
-To arrange and conduct all fittings of the womenswear collection - from SMS through to final sealed production. Document comments and images.
-To communicate comments on fit, quality and construction to factory, through spec sheets.
-To define, monitor and apply grade rules to each style.
-To liaise with factories regarding any issues they may have during production, clarify any make/construction queries that arise.
-To chase factories for all PP submissions, ensuring that samples are delivered on time, according to the critical path.
-To ensure factories submit trim cards, and approve in a timely manner.
