Contract Type: Term Time only (35hrs/week, 41 weeks/year)

The Directors of the Community Academies Trust wish to appoint an Events Technician working term time only, plus some time for out of school hours and out of term time activity. You will work directly in support of the Drama and Music Departments principally. The Events Technician is responsible for:

  • As a member of the school's technical support team to assist in the delivery of school events, teaching and learning within the school and in meeting health and safety standards.
  • Providing basic instruction/training to users within school on lighting and sound equipment.
  • Offering to the school a flexible approach to work patterns, taking account of personal circumstances. There are regular occurrences when work outside of the school day and outside of the working week will be required, so the jobholder must be prepared to work evenings and weekends. A pattern of work will be agreed in advance of events, such that an overall annual work pattern for 35 hours per week over 41 weeks a year is achieved. This may mean non-attendance on some or parts of the school day.
