Job Title: Project Engineer
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Location: Doncaster

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer or NPI Engineer to join an established business based out of Doncaster, which specialises in the manufacturing of radiators. The business is the market leader in their sector and account for a 50% share of the UK market. As a business they are committed to £20m of capital investment in the site and equipment over the next 5 years (£4m per year) and invest heavily in staff development.

In order to support the Engineering Services and Manufacturing Departments, we need a highly motivated Project Engineer to identify and drive major improvements to the manufacturing process. This will be from concept to reality.

-Analysis of production and engineering processes and integration or development of improvements.
-Determine project specifications by studying design, requirements and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
-Ensuring each project meets deadlines at each stage
-Making sure all legal requirements are met
-Identifying problems with the project, taking the lead on developing solutions and ensuring solutions are implemented
-Liaise with third parties such as external contractors around timescales and working practices.

To be considered for the position of Project Engineer/NPI Engineer you should be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas;

-HNC/Degree or relevant experience level of mechanical engineering or related discipline.
-A proven track record within Engineering roles in a manufacturing environment.
-Project planning and management experiences - ability to balance demands of Health and Safety, function, timescale and budget to achieve the best results.
-Management of external contractors from negotiation and expediting of contracts through to supervision of site installation
-Draughting and design skills in the form of abilities to read and generate drawings, both layout and (preferably) detailed design.

You will also ideally have some experience in the following areas;

-Industrial hydraulic systems
-Electrical knowledge and experience
-Steel pressing and forming
-Resistance welding
-Surface finishing
