Position Description:
This is a Business Improvement role and not a Project Engineer. Role will be based at Gaydon with frequent travel to Whitley. Manage process improvement projects using formal project management techniques to ensure delivery on time. This will include complex cross functional situations. Facilitate the design of effective and efficient processes to the JLR standard format using lean principles. Facilitate the effective implementation and sustenance of change through the use of formal change management techniques. Provide a structured approach to solving business problems in order to develop more effective and efficient ways of working. Leadership of other Process Consultants and Graduates on specific projects as required. Predict benefits delivery and track against them to ensure that they are realised. To work with the relevant CoCs and vehicle programme teams to help scope and implement process improvement projects, design and develop processes that are the catalyst for our new vehicles. Communication of key work processes associated with Process Engineering and driving process awareness to enable successful projects. Design and implement improvements to key processes supporting the end to product engineering life cycle, to ensure it is `fit for purpose and that changes are embedded in the organisation to enable the business to operate these processes. Manage continuous improvement / development projects to ensure key work processes evolve and mature as required to support product delivery. Conducting workshops to enhance understanding of business process and gather requirements. Facilitating workshops with SMEs to define process and required levels. Manage changes to process in collaboration with identified process owners to help maintain a single source of process truth. Develop and deploy process methodologies and applicable tools to support a Continuous Improvement culture. Ensure integrity of processes within and across the work systems by periodically reviewing process interfaces across the process model. Support effective deployment of key work processes, providing the vehicle programme teams and associated functions with guidance around process steps, deliverables, decision points and approval levels

Good IT skills, particularly MS Office.
Prior experience in using (any) Business Process Management tools would be an advantage.

Experience Preferred:
Experience in the automotive or aerospace industry.
Recognised improvement qualification: e.g. lean competency, six sigma black belt.
Experience of new product introduction.
Experience in Business Process Re-engineering.
