Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer - London - Microdrainage & SuDS

Role Overview

Due to expansion, a new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join growing team in the clients London office.

The client are a design and engineering specialist that delivers a range of complex infrastructure, process and built environments across the full project life cycle.

The client delivers projects in disciplines ranging from initial Architecture to Civil and Structural, Building Services, specialist High Voltage, Process Engineering services, Mechanical & Electrical, Programme Management, Temporary Works and CDM consultancy, using the latest innovations in Building Information Modelling (BIM) for the most efficient design.

The Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer is required to help develop the Infrastructure capability of a growing Civil and Structural department. The successful candidate will have extensive experience of Autodesk Civil 3D, Microdrainage and AutoCAD and will be keen to mentor graduate engineers and technicians in both technical design aspects and BIM software integration. A thorough understanding of earthworks design, below ground foul and surface water drainage design, pavement design, external works and 3D.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Undertaking all aspects of infrastructure design work on a range of project sizes across a variety of industry sectors
- Contributing to the development and mentoring of junior staff and the continual improvement of the departments BIM capabilities
- Keeping up to date with drainage design trends, customer awareness and design techniques
- Reviewing specialist subcontractor suppliers production drawings for technical compliance with design intent
- Carrying out technical design reviews/critiques of projects in progress
- Representing the client in external project technical meetings and site visits as and when required
- Assisting with developing staff by recommending appropriate training

Essential Criteria:

- Degree qualified or equivalent i.e. (HNC/HND/NVQ)
- Member of a relevant engineering institution e.g. ICE, CIHT, IHE etc.
- Highly proficient in AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D and Microdrainage
- Full UK Driving Licence
