A leading FMCG chilled/frozen foods manufacturer with a site near Chester / Deeside is now recruiting a NPD Process Technologist to join their Development team.

Reporting into Head of NPD & Process, the successful NPD Process Technologist will work to ensure the smooth transition of newly approved products from concept through to launch, ensuring the technical and quality standards are achieved. You will also drive continuous improvement projects, analysing trial output data to deliver process, quality and equipment capability improvements.

The successful NPD Process Technologist will ideally be educated to degree / HND level in a food or technical related discipline with an understanding / experience of auditing or technical administration in a food manufacturing environment. You will also have experience in handling customers and will have strong communication skills. A solid understanding of HACCP and Microsoft computer programs will be essential

NPD Process Technologist duties include:

- Generating all relevant process documents and implement into the Quality System.
- Co-ordinating trials, record all data and report results.
- Seeking creative process solutions within the existing manufacturing methods.
- Working closely with the chefs on NPD projects from concept through to launch advising of any factory constraints.
- Working closely with customers in providing all relevant data required and ensuring all policies are adhered to.
- Being present at customer visits at factory tours and product sign off stage and developing and maintaining strong relationships.
- Generating and issuing sample submission forms as per each individual customer requirements.
- Generating cooking instructions in accordance with individual customer polices.
- Generating accurate and in depth QAS`s forms and attend customer QAS panels
- Generating customer submission forms and presentation packs for NPD product submissions.
- Generating and issuing product Passports and Trial Reports
- Maintaining benchmark & reference samples library
