Finance & Office Manager - £30,000 - Bookkeeping - Qtrly Management Accounts - Office Management - PA to MD

Your new company
A Finance & Office Manager opportunity has become available in an owner managed manufacturing business in Aylesbury. This role has become available as the current Finance and Office Manager is due to retire after 22 years in the business. The company has been operating for over 35 years and has expanded its product line and clientele. As a manufacturing business they have their factory on site where 75% of the machines have been designed and engineered by the owner.

Your new role
As a Finance & Office Manager you will be responsible for all the finance function apart from the sales ledger. You will over see the accounts payable process which will see you purchasing raw materials from Europe, Middle East and the US so you will be dealing with multiple currencies. You will also look after all the nominal ledgers and overseeing the trail balance, fixed assets and bank reconciliations. Along with this, you will provide a detailed cash flow statement that will accurately allow forecasting.

You will also be responsible for the quarterly accounting duties which will include VAT returns and Management Accounts with the ability to begin producing Management Accounts on a Monthly basis. Year end will see you working with the external accounts for the annual submissions and reports. You will have a sales ledger co-coordinator reporting in to you and you will ideally understand their role as you will cover this when needed.

Alongside your finance duties you will also be responsible for the running of the business. This will include administrative duties which include the ordering of materials and stationary, assisting with customer queries and supporting the MD with some of his tasks and duties. You will also be responsible for overseeing the utilities and will need to negotiate with the suppliers to get the best rates.
