We have an opportunity for a Channel Sales Director to join our highly motivated and talented sales team, this role is home based but will require working from our UK Headquarters in Weybridge one or two days a week.

Salary Circa £80,000+ dependent on experience plus excellent benefits, sales bonus and a staff wine allowance.

About this role

This role ensures our channel defined revenue and profitability targets are achieved though owning and driving the channel specific requirements and managing these in line with the Commercial Plan. You will deliver the required results through monitoring & managing the channel volume, budget, profitability & sustainability of the business over agreed timeframe. You will proactively manage and continually evaluate all account activity and market conditions ensuring initiatives are put in place to achieve all sales opportunities.

You will lead and manage a team to ensure these business targets are delivered and will ensure close working relationships across the category shopper and brand teams to share and develop insight for business opportunity. Driving these collaborative ways of working across the commercial division, you will identify continual ways of maximising investment and cost saving opportunities and will work to improve cash flow across sector in conjunction with Finance colleagues.

Other areas of responsibility include:

  • Work alongside the Sales Director to implement an overall sales strategy for the UK & Ireland.
  • Drive the development of Brand/Exclusive Label packing opportunities under one J.B.P, working closely with the Sales Director UKIR.

About you

You will be a highly motivated and results driven individual with evidenced successes in commercial delivery. You will have a background of sales management within FMCG and have experience of senior level negotiations within the multiple groceries.

Having led a commercial sales team you will be committed to developing talent within the team and nurturing engagement across cross functional teams.

You will have evidence of continuous personal and professional development and learning as well as a drive to develop and maintain commercial contacts within the industry.

Ideally you will have experience and/or knowledge of the drinks category but a passion for wine is a must.

You will have the flexibility to work out of office hours to accommodate commercial events as well as significant travelling across the UK to our customer sites. You will have the ability to travel to our Weybridge site once or twice a week as well as occasional travel to our award winning production site in Bristol.
