This part-qualified accountant job is for a well established manufacturing business based in Blackburn. Due to company growth and internal changes, they are seeking an experienced part-qualified accountant to join their steady team on a permanent and full time basis.
Your new role
Within your new job as part qualified accountant, your roles and responsibilities will be extremely varied. Your day to day duties will include bank reconciliations, purchase ledger / sales ledger reconciliations, review of maintenance costs, budget variance analysis, profitability reporting, revenue reporting, fixed asset register maintenance, accruals / prepayments alongside the analysis of nominal accounts and journal posting. You will be working full time between the hours of 8:30am - 5pm.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful within this role, you should have ideally worked within a similar position before and have experience of working on Sage packages and preferably have knowledge of landfill tax. Due to the level of this position, it would be ideal for you to be confident in excel including vlookups, SUMIFs, pivot tables and hlookups. You should be working towards your CIMA / ACCA or have experience equivalent to this.
