Want to stop working on minor functionality and be given full ownership of back-end systems for an enterprise web & mobile platform? Are you an accomplished Engineer with strong Python and great exposure to web engineering in all favours. You will be working on a platform which will go on to become the {insert name of #1 company for any given market} of the Agricultural-tech world. Not only will you be working on a high quality enterprise applications sold into a multi-billion dollar industry, but you will be part of a process which brings productivity, quality and re-assurance to the production of the food which ends up on your table.

Working in a small engineering team, you will need to really take ownership, and with this contribute to real design and architecture decisions and as the company grows to help build up a small team.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Strong Python (ideally with Django too)
  • Secondary skills in another language (Java would be great is possible)
  • Demonstrable OO knowledge
  • Possess knowledge of modern web and mobile UI/UX
  • A clean, clear style of programming
  • Superb thinking and analytical skills
  • A can-do, let's get on with it approach
  • Use of at least one version control system (e.g., Git or Mercurial)
  • Understanding of agile methodologies, test driven development

Useful Experience

  • Hands-on with Linux administration, or full-stack expertise
  • An appreciation of open source software and how to contribute back
  • Experience in working with start-up culture and scalable systems would be advantageous
  • Ability to change your processes to deliver the best possible outcome
