Finance Analyst - Buckinghamshire - Contract

Day Rate: £flexible/negotiable

Location: Buckinghamshire

Term: 3 months initially

Sopra Steria Recruitment are now looking for a Finance Analyst to join a large organisation in Buckinghamshire for an initial 3 month contract.

We are looking for a qualified (CIMA or ACCA) finance professional who has strong business partnering experience to make informed and effective commercial decisions and maximise value creation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide the Ops Team with timely insight into the Customer Management Centre financial performance and influence/challenge actions if required.
  • Review performance and challenge to achieve better cost performance without impacting customer service; understand how operational costs flex with volume, to ensure that costs are managed through busy and quiet periods accordingly.
  • Act on decisions to close gaps in actual financial performance vs. target collaborating with Customer Management Centre colleagues.
  • Deliver timely day-to-day reporting, planning, budgeting & forecasting activities with guidance from the Customer Services Finance Manager including:
    • Supporting the Operational teams in their decision-making process by providing information, professional advice and interpretation of data.
    • Constructing plans and budgets obtaining mutual commitment and agreement and subsequently reviewing performance deviations and advising on required future corrective actions in review and ad-hoc team meetings.
    • Ensuring that appropriate budgetary and financial control is being applied, therefore securing the delivery of financial forecasts.
  • Responsible for managing relationships with relevant stakeholders.
  • Share relevant tools and lessons learnt with the Business Partnering community.

The Candidate

  • Strong commercial acumen, curiosity beyond traditional finance boundaries and ability to understand key business drivers.
  • Ability to present complex information in a simplified manner.
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to deliver to tight deadlines and adapt to change.
