Exclusive senior finance recruitment campaign to Pure, Ipswich Superb opportunity to join this large, ambitious and evolving privately owned business as Financial Controller, utilising your leadership skills to manage a fast-paced, business partnering finance team. Reporting into a strategic Finance Director, with exposure to a high-performing Board of Directors, you will be a very strong technical accountant by trade, ideally having originally trained and qualified within the profession before moving into a broader commercial accounting role. The business is working against an exciting, ambitious five year strategic plan delivering business growth, investment in its services and people, as well as increased profitability. Responsibilities will include: - Business partnering with Managers across the whole company, providing financial insight, quality advice, challenge, reports and analysis - Preparation of monthly management accounting Board packs including commentary on results, trends and issues for the Finance Director and Executive Team, - Project manage the submission of business plans, budgets and forecasts - Provide clear direction, support, development and motivation to the finance team, ensuring it delivers accurate, enabling and compliant reporting to deadlines - Promote a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement and high engagement within the team - Provide financial integrity across all finance processes and procedures - Lead the statutory accounts preparation, partnering with external auditors and advisor`s - Ad hoc project work as required The successful candidate must demonstrate the following skills and experience: - Professionally qualified accountant - preferably ACA or ACCA, CIMA will be considered. - Technically able finance professional with the ability to foster the right balance between process/ people and the corporate and entrepreneurial environment - Strong commercial acumen and the ability to understand the wider business - Strong, engaging communicator with the ability to build effective relationships within the business and with external partners - Wide compliance experience - Statutory Accounts, audit, HMRC, CT, VAT, CIS, ESOS, etc - Strong analytical skills and commercial outlook, with the drive to move a business forward A base salary of £70,000 - £75,000, car allowance, pension, healthcare, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, potential performance related bonus is on offer.
