After internal promotions and creation of roles through natural growth of the business this role will offer a the right candidate control over two of their major sites currently being developed.

Candidates with a strong work ethic, excellent communication and relationship building skills as well as strong all round surveying ability will succeed in this role.

My client, recruiting for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role is an established residential developer, which has been building homes across London for over 30 years.

They have successfully designed and built a large collection of new build and refurbishment projects across London and the South East of England.

Continuously pushing the development of the business, taking on larger sites, more varied designs and more challenging projects all help to the growth of this company.

Description

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Established Residential Developer

  • Attend design team and specification meetings, comment on relevance and advise (alongside the Technical team)
  • Compile specifications and update
  • Reading drawings and interpreting the information
  • Input on material submissions to local authorities for approval
  • Liaise with Statutory and Local Authorities on connections/disconnections and supplies
  • Compile trade enquiries, establish content and scope of works
  • Analyse trade quotations, compare, negotiate, appoint
  • Develop rapport with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Monitor and report committed costs against pre-determined budgets
  • Determine payment breakdowns and assemble weekly payment releases
  • Agree contract variations to subcontractors
  • Negotiate variation costs and conclude Final Accounts
  • Research new products, subcontract sources and references

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Established Residential Developer

The successful surveyor for this role will already be working for a similar business within the residential development or main contractor environment.
