Due to new and continuing contracts both in the UK and overseas the following vacancy has arisen. Accounts Assistant – Responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate accounts function, working closely with the Financial Controller and Finance Director. The role will be busy, varied and requires the successful person to have excellent communication skills in order to build good relationships with co-workers, clients and suppliers to guarantee work is completed accurately. Duties will include: Reconcile bank account in SAGE daily Process supplier payment run in SAGE and online banking system Process recurring invoices, update spreadsheets and reconcile with SAGE, working closely with Rentals Manager to ensure timely and accurate invoicing. E-mail monthly software COGS to Norway Send out monthly customer statements Chase debtors, following company procedure, by e-mail and/or telephone Ensure credit card receipts are obtained and processed in a timely manner. Ensure all transactions posted are accurate and to correct nominal codes. Provide cover for Purchase Ledger Assistant when required. Ensure that preparation for month end is achieved in a timely manner. Filing of accounts paperwork. Suitable candidates should ideally have the following: Minimum two years previous relevant industry or accounts office experience Good working knowledge of SAGE accounting system Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and in particular Excel.
