We are currently recruiting for a Web Development Manager on behalf of a reputable financial services company based in Surrey.

This is a permanent position and attracts a salary of c£70,000 per annum plus bonus and generous benefits.

The Role will be responsible for the following areas:
*Production Incident/Problem/Change assessment and resolution.
*Supporting development and project teams in a DevOps environment.
*Defining and optimizing batch schedules and job execution
*Support of batch framework and tools in Prod and Non-prod environments.
*Providing expertise within IT around Oracle coding and batch best practices.
*Enhancing automation, scripting, non-functional testing within the platform area.
*Providing out-of-hours support on a team rota basis.

Job Requirements

Essential Requirements:

*Proven experience of JAVA/J2EE Applications and Oracle middleware.
*Extensive use of WebLogic.
*Previous exposure to a wide range of Web technologies preferred (Apache, nginx, web services, EJB, logs etc)
*Have proven experience with supporting open-source infrastructure as well as hardware and software troubleshooting.
*Support of micro-services (scalability, load balancing)
*Have proven experience with Amazon Cloud (AWS)
*Experience with cloud logging and monitoring solutions (e.g. ELK)
*Proficient in knowledge of basic UNIX shell and scripting
*Experience working with Source control (git)
*Previous experience of WebLogic WLST.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Tenacious problem solving abilities
*Strong ability to find relevant information from various sources in order to deliver new projects and solve issues.
*General troubleshooting skills to solve issues (i.e. root cause of strange behaviours in systems and problem resolution).
*Ability to work equally well as part of a team or individually and manage own workload as required.
*Have proven experience of Red Hat systems administration

Desired requirements:

*Experience with automation tool Puppet
*Experience with DNS and DHCP technologies.
*Experience with Back up technologies.
*Understanding of network processes and hardware
*IT related qualification preferable (degree or higher qualification in computer science)
*Powershell programming skills
*Experience working in DevOps (JIRA/Kanban/Continuous delivery)
*Experience in Oracle DB
*Microsoft SQL Server and Active Directory
*Understanding of relational databases.
*Exposure to SQL and Toad.
*Experience with some of the following: Puppet, Ruby, Jenkins
*JSON / YAML familiarity
