Our client is a leading employer in the city centre of Dundee and due to an internal secondment they require an experienced Business Analyst to come on board in a fixed term contract until May 2019. Day to day you will work as part of a small team responsible for the analysis, design and support of business applications to ensure the solutions fulfil the needs of the business. You will; Carry out analysis, design, requirements gathering tasks ensuring that feasibility has been assessed and established; relevant documentation is maintained; testing is successfully completed; and that information systems components are released into operations in accordance with IT policies and standards. Assess and recommend appropriate solutions to fulfil business requirements with current or new applications that will ensure the highest standards of confidentiality, integrity and availability. Undertake feasibility studies and to assist in the development of formal business cases for proposed information systems as a basis for decision making at a senior management level. Provide reports as required by undertaking the appropriate analysis in response to business requirements. Provide advice, expertise and assistance to other teams and projects about the development and integration of information systems as directed by the Service Delivery Manager. Ideally you will have at least 2 years' experience in a dedicated Business Analyst role in a commercial environment, preferably within an ITIL framework and have a good understanding of how IT contributes to the delivery of service to the wider organisation. Experience of managing budgets and being able to translate technical requirements into easily understood business concepts advantageous. Personally you will be a self-starter, able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines with a strong analytical mind set. Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at all levels is required. This role is a fixed term contract until 31st May, 2019 and comes with a strong pension offering of 18%.
