Due to continued growth, we're looking to recruit an experienced IT Engineer to join our team. Inspire Audio Visual Ltd are designers and installers of audio visual, home cinema, home automation and home technology products.
Our projects involve integrating various technology systems into large residential across Yorkshire and central London which all require the specifying, design and install of a wired and wireless network.
We also have a number of commercial clients across corporate, manufacturing and healthcare, the majority of which require the design and installation of a stable and robust network.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Involved in the specifying and design of networks in residential and commercial properties to support the clients requirement, from general internet access to supporting a control system
- Installation and configuration of networking products including routers, switches, patch panels, wireless access points and network monitoring tool
- Rack building
- Taking proactive action once a clients diagnostic system has reported an issue with a product
- Diagnosis of network problems both on site and remotely
- Control system programming. The control systems require programming and configuration (training provided)
- Supporting AV team with installation when required (generally all network based)
We require someone with excellent communication skills, both written and oral as well and being highly organised. Attention to detail is critical, we operate as a sub-contractor and direct with clients, so expect our employees to be well presented, courteous and likeable. You must be able to work under pressure to sometimes tight deadlines.
You will have experience of working with a number of recognised networking products and be familiar with the installation and configuration of network devices with the ability to trouble shoot post installation.

Ideally you will be located around the above area and be comfortable travelling to customer sites throughout the area and beyond. A full UK driving license is essential for this role, candidates who do not possess a driving license will not be given an interview.
