We are searching for a technology enthusiast to join a market leading company to help maintain and grown relationships with their client base in the private equity space. Our client is a market leading IT advisory company who operate across Europe helping private equity investors carry out due diligence on potential acquisitions and investments, investigating the current technology state and capabilities. This role is a combination of account management and business development for a technically minded individual who can bring a wealth of technology experience across many industries and technologies, anything from software, infrastructure to ERP systems. You will work closely with internal teams and clients to position the company in wining and processing new business, the development of relationships with clients and the articulation of the company value proposition and capabilities. You will be responsible for a specific group of client relationships, responding to their due diligence requirements whilst helping lead and advise where required. As well as this you will co-ordinate with the internal service delivery team and consultant network of highly capable CIO, CTO, IT Directors and Architects to ensure clients have the expert advice available to fulfil their specific needs in any given area of IT expertise that is required. Having at least 5 years' experience of client facing business development in a fast paced and demanding environment where relationship strength is key. You will be consultative in nature rather than high pressured sales focused with experience of bid management, including the creation of well-constructed and persuasive proposals coupled with excellent commercial awareness. Having the ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, a technical subject matter to non-technical clients in a simple and understandable manner will see you succeed in this role. This role is a fast paced, highly transactional business and you will be qualifying 10-15 opportunities on a monthly basis. Permanent position, Edinburgh based with travel on average 5 times per month, throughout the UK and wider Europe. This role will suit someone who has a background in technology consulting organisations, someone with a strong sales cycle understanding and most likely coming from a technical position earlier in their career.
