Primary Teaching Assistant - Russell Group Graduate

Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Have you got previous experience working with children aged 4-11 and would be keen to transfer these roles into a paid, full-time position?

Are you passionate about providing support for children from a range of socio-economic backgrounds and would like to gain school based experience prior to applying for your PGCE and pursuing you career as a Primary teacher?

If you have graduated with a 2:1 or higher in a core subject/Psychology degree from a Russell Group university and are looking to work as a teaching assistant in a primary school for the full academic year from September, then this is the perfect role for you!

This lovely primary school is looking for a Russell group graduate with previous experience working with children and has an interest in extra-curricular activities, specifically sports, and act as role model for the young learners!

Primary Teaching Assistant

***Russell Group Graduate

***2:2 or higher in a core subject/psychology degree

***'Outstanding' Sheffield Primary School

***Previous experience working with children essential

***SEN experience Preferable

***£300 per week

***Aspiring Primary School Teacher

The ideal graduate should possess a strong academic background and demonstrate a real passion for working with children and a real confidence in your approach. Ideally you will have a core subject/psychology degree with a 1st or 2:1 grade and you will have experience in a similar role, preferably working with children with Autism/ADHD or other Special Educational Needs.

The ideal candidate will have a real interest in extra-curricular activities as this is a huge part of the schools ethos. As well as academic success the school places sports in particular at the heart of its ethos. A candidate with an interest in such activities and perhaps previous coaching experience is preferred and will support the teaching staff in after school sessions.

This school is a lovely mainstream primary school in Sheffield and is easily accessible from a range of public transport links. The school has been rated 'good' but behaviour levels rated 'outstanding' in a recent Ofsted report. The school is well run and has excellent supportive staff and has built a following from local parents of children with learning barrier as it provides a real opportunity for them to remain in a mainstream setting.

This opportunity is perfect for an aspiring Primary school teacher. If this is you then do not hesitate to apply for this role. Send your CV to Jonny at i-teachers by clicking 'Apply' today.
