Our client is a market leading Electronic Engineering and Manufacturing company who specialise in supporting the UK aerospace & defence industry with a wide range of advanced technology applications

Working alongside the Quality team, you'll play a pivotal role across all business units and departments managing processes and standardising metrics. You'll mentor employees to cover the quality basics and support the Quality team across all departmental activities. You'll manage Quality for the Avionics & Mission Systems and Power & Control Business Unit programmes, working with customers and regulatory bodies to maintain compliance.

You will be responsible for:
* Providing support and independent quality assurance to the engineering team during the development, qualification and certification of new designs
* Communicating/integrating quality issues between internal disciplines
* Participating in design reviews and Design Verification Test (DVT) and approving Design Verification Test Reports (DVTR).
* Failures handling and CAPA, customer complaints.
* Maintaining appropriate processes and ensure adequate governance by conducting internal quality audits. Complying with safety requirements.
* Providing suitable quality handover of products into production


Educated to degree level, or equivalent, the successful candidate will be an IRCA internal auditor
In addition to this you will also have:
* Experience of Aerospace and/or defence Quality Management Systems
* Experience as a Quality Engineer in Manufacturing facility for electronics/optics-mechanics products
* Experience of EASA 21G/145, DAOS, FAA/CAAC OR AS9100
* Background of Quality Safety Critical Aerospace/Aviation applications
* Proven history of Quality within an Aerospace, Electronics Design and Manufacturing environment
* Engineering and Quality Continuous Improvement Techniques
* Experience of compiling First Article Inspection reports
