Scrum Master Change Recruitment are currently working in partnership with my Global IT Consultancy client at their digital engineering hub in Glasgow, although this is a consultancy role - there is very little travel involved as everything is worked on site. As a scrum master you will be working with our existing agile practitioners across the UK, you will be responsible for pioneering, defining and governing the Agile practice within the new engineering centre, working closely with the engineering teams and leads to provide the most effective delivery processes. You will facilitate all aspects of the Scrum framework including sprint planning sessions, backlog grooming sessions, daily scrums, sprint reviews and sprint retrospectives. Also you will be responsible for maintaining the Scrum team capacity plan, Scrum board (Kanban), sprint backlog, velocity charts and burn down charts. Identifying and removing impediments to the success of the Sprint and Project. Required Come from a technical background and are able to understand the technical constraints and complexities of delivering modern software. You will be able to converse with and understand the engineering team, and potentially even be able to add to the technical solution of a particular project. You may be currently a lead developer or team lead who has a lot of experience in leading agile teams and is looking to move more into a more formal Scrum Master role. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with internal and external clients, as well as sales and business stakeholders within the business. Able to evangelise and champion lean delivery and the benefits that it provides. In addition you will have worked with more classical delivery methods and have demonstrable ways of overcoming the conflicts with Agile delivery. Demonstrable experience of managing agile teams that are remote from the client base and will be able to bring best practice in that area. You will also have experience working with and across scrum teams of varying sizes, and holding ‘scrum of scrum’ meetings to co-ordinate work across working teams.
