Based in Renfrewshire/Inverclyde my client who is a market leader in their field are looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Manager to join their successful and busy team on a permanent basis. Reporting directly to the Head of function you be accountable for managing, mentoring, leading, coaching and developing direct reports. Maximising efficiencies, leveraging technology and maintaining a strong customer service will be your focus. High volume accounts payable management experience is required in order to hit the ground running. Drive continuous improvements and streamline Accounts Payable processing Review and monitor the internal electronic invoicing authorisation workflow tools Facilitate Accounts Payable training to all relevant stakeholders Review & authorise invoices for weekly supplier payments Manage statement reconciliations for major suppliers both externally and intercompany Month end preparation and posting of accrual journals Resolve escalated account enquiries for both internal & external customers/suppliers Prepare monthly Financial reporting relating to Accounts Payable Review AP summary aging report on a monthly basis Prepare and deliver feedback to team members on their performance each month Participate and coordinate various Accounting projects as required Experience Required: Minimum 5 years' experience in an end to end Accounts Payable role is essential Demonstrated Managerial/Supervisory experience is essential Advanced Excel skills, including management and presentation of data, filtering and use of pivot tables Ability to combine strong analytical skills and problem solving skills with business knowledge Strong time management, ability to prioritise and meet timelines under pressure Versatility to build rapport and communicate with key stakeholders at all levels Ability to listen to others and seeks feedback for improvement Proactive approach for continuous process improvement If you are interested in this vacancy please contact Laura Buchanan in our Glasgow office.
