Global Packaging Project Engineer
Global Packaging Project Engineer - Based Banbury UK but can be based in Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Poland or Netherlands. Up to £55k base, negotiable DOE plus corporate package - UP to 50% European travel.
We are very pleased to be supporting this European wide food ingredient supplier and food manufacturer with a new requirement for a Global Packaging Project Engineer. The business operates globally employing over 9000 people to date and are what we would described as an industry engine in their sector.
As a Global Packaging Project Engineer you will be working as part of a small global team feeding into and working with regional packaging teams. The role will see you working on a project basis with a very varied range of content and so to be successful in this role you will need a solid background in FMCG packaging from machinery through to materials and processes. You will lead projects implementing solutions across the network, these solutions can be based upon specific customer requirements and also based around cost down, rationalisation and process improvements.
You will be heavily involved in supplier management across machinery and materials. You will deliver on rationalisation projects across the supplier base across Europe. To add to this you will lead the planning and organisation of plant trials relating to packaging. You will need to have sound knowledge of testing and qualification processes across multiple packaging formats and materials.
To summarise we are looking for a food/packaging expert able to contribute across a network ensuring best value for money, compliance to GMP. We need someone with strong commercial skills able to work with suppliers of materials and machinery, packaging consultants and all internal stakeholders. You will report directly to the Global Packaging Director.
