Aims and Objectives for the job of IT Network Engineer (Anglesey)

The purpose of this role is to take responsibility for their own performance in relation to planning, delivery, incident, problem, change, configuration, operations management and performance management against targets and activities allocated to them. Reporting of the IT Infrastructure Manager, you will work as part of a team on a range of advanced tasks and complex projects.

Key responsibilities for the job of IT Network Engineer (Anglesey)

  • Working as a part of a team to ensure effective implementation of the IT Service plan, in line with associated plans, procedures and standards
  • Planning own work load effectively and commitment to delivering a high standard of work to meet performance management targets
  • Responsible for a range of advanced tasks to implement, support and manage specific complex elements of the IT infrastructure
  • Providing technical support to IT Service Desk, when required
  • Lead, manage and deliver complex project to provide new and improved technology and business solutions
  • Mentoring and supporting less experienced team members, when required

Core Skills and Competencies required for the job of IT Network Engineer (Anglesey)

  • Educated to Degree or equivalent in an ICT related discipline, or significant experience of proving network support
  • Specialist in Network Management and Support, Security Software Management and Project Delivery
  • Current CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) qualification, or demonstrate the commitment to undertake
  • Experience of working in a highly technical environment
  • Experience of incident and problem management
  • A clear understanding of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) standards in ICT Service Management
  • Ability to manage and participate in multiple projects
  • Excellent customer service and communications skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to communication through the medium of Welsh would be an advantage but not essential
  • Demonstrate effective planning and organising
  • A full UK Driving Licence
