Discipline Integration Manager - Glasgow

We currently have a vacancy for Discipline Integration Managers in the following disciplines Paint, Outfit, Electrical and Mechanical at our site in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity to join BAE systems as we start construction of the latest Royal Navy Type 26 Frigate. The Global Combat Ship will be a highly capable and versatile multi-mission warship designed to support anti-submarine warfare, air defence and general purpose operations anywhere on the world's oceans.

As a Discipline Integration Manager, you will be responsible for discipline performance across the delivery programmes including manufacturing, full discipline scope, ensuring timely integration of tasks into build strategy & schedule. You will lead, direct and manage Delivery, Integrated Work Teams(IWT) & sub-contractors across Clyde work zones You will also have responsibility for the effective deployment of key discipline resource across delivery programmes and for the creation and development of a continuous improvement culture.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work the latest programme for the Royal Navy and an opportunity to work closely with the senior management team to ensure successful delivery of this and future programmes.

Your main responsibilities as a Discipline Integration Manager will involve:

Owning the budget for discipline performance across the delivery programmes including manufacturing & Sub-Contractors

Coordinating the deployment of discipline resource across delivery programmes

Leading, directing and managing delivery IWTs & Sub contractors across Clyde work zones (Construction & Outfit in Govan and final system Integration and commissioning in Scotstoun)

Understanding build progress and issues across Clyde build sites and prioritising /proposing best for project solutions /actions

Being responsible for full discipline scope, ensuring timely integration of tasks into build strategy & schedule

Your skills and qualifications as a Discipline Integration Manager:

Experience in one of the following disciplines Paint, Outfit, Electrical or Mechanical is essential

Budget holder experience is essential

Previous experience leading teams in complex industrial environment

Delivery experience is essential

It is essential that you have experience working on and delivering complex industrial projects

Domain knowledge preferred but not essential
