3rd Line Support Engineer - Windows Server, Infrastructure
As a 3rd Line Support Engineer you will work in a client facing role providing support to fix issues in Microsoft Server environments including Firewalls and Security. You will primarily work in a 3rd line capacity however you will be expected to attend site visits and be able to talk to customers about the solutions. You will be working with clients who have large amounts of servers (circa 1000+ servers) and is therefore a challenging technical environment. You will also be required to mentor First Line members of the team from a technical perspective.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background working as a 3rd Line Support Engineer in large Windows Server (Windows 2008, 2012 and 2016) environments (circa 1000+) and have some client facing experience. You will have strong experience around Firewall configurations (Cisco ideally) and other Security aspects. Experience in managing, supporting and configuring virtualised environments (VMware and Hyper-V, Clustering and HA environments) is also required. You will have Powershell scripting expertise and an understanding of Active Directory. Any experience mentoring more junior members of the team is also desirable.
