Barron McCann Ltd is an independent IT Service Provider offering a range of IT support services from help desk through to rapid response on-site repair and maintenance; our customers are some of the most prestigious names on the high street.

We now have an opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join us as a BI/MI Analyst, based at our Derby site.

General Purpose

As the BI/MI Analyst, you will be responsible for development and production of daily, weekly and monthly Management Information reports for use by operational boards, the senior management team and the operations team. Identifying and highlighting of potential and emerging trends and problems along with proposals for solutions.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

·Working with key business stakeholders to identify reporting requirements

·Writing and consolidating reports to specifications

·Ensuring change control is enforced for all reporting changes.

·Ensuring all reports are properly documented.

Essential Skills

·MS SSRS report writing

·MS SQL skills

·Knowledge of Qlikview

·Knowledge of MS Dynamics

·Communication and team working; working co-operatively with others to achieve a common goal and communicates information in a clear and concise and manner

·Problem solving and decision making; analyses information appropriately in order to find best solutions and takes a balanced view to reach logical conclusions and make relevant decisions

·Commercial and organizational focus; demonstrates understanding of overall business and commercial issues facing company

·Commitment to results; is committed to obtaining results through taking responsibility, demonstrating a positive attitude and ensuring quality

Background & Knowledge

·Knowledge ofTesseract is preferred

·Experience of using bespoke systems

·Microsoft excel - advanced

·Knowledge of SQL

·Experience of data warehousing

·Working to tight deadlines and use own initiative

·Accuracy and attention to detail

·Ability to identify and communicate problems

·Results focused and to be commercially aware

·Strong organisational and planning skills

·To remain focused and decisive when working in a pressurised environment

·Ability to quickly learn new software packages

You will be expected to maintain & develop strong working relationships with all parts of the business.

Due to the nature of the role, some out of hours working may be required.

You will require a full UK driving licence.
