Senior Functional Analyst

Role Description:

Current opportunity in London related to Equities GPF domain area in the Bank and to implementation of Central Finance Book program across the domain.

Luxoft is already more than 6 years in Equities GPF domain area and there is an existing team of 80+ people in mostly Russia/US who are dealing with various platforms and systems, including central Book and Records platform developed by the team of 25 engineers located in St Petersburg and New York. This team needs to be enforced with the Senior Functional Analyst presence in UK who will be communicating with the business, management and SME, defining and communicating requirements to the offshore team and drive the delivery of several business streams.

Project technology stack: Java 1.8 (Hadoop, Apache Spark, HMS PAAS, Spring, Spring Integration, REST), Oracle 12, JMS (Solace, dBus), UNIX, XML/JSON/CSV for data transfer. Test automation technologies - Java/Cucumber/SQL/PL-SQL


  • Gathering functional requirements from and negotiating them with business stakeholders and technical implementation teams
  • Ensure all requirements are correctly represented in JIRA, Confluence and other collaboration tools
  • Planning of analytical activities and reporting their status to stakeholders (efforts, ETA, dependencies, risks, assumptions)
  • Active participation in various meetings and workshops
  • Participation in test cases review, bug fixing and warranty stages for ongoing project

Skills Required:

  • Proven record in Business / Functional / System Analyst role (3+ years);
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent ability to clearly document business, functional and non-functional requirements with a proven record of project participation and delivery;
  • Good knowledge of key types of requirement documents and analytical artifacts in IT projects
  • Knowledge of SDLC and key role of analyst on each stage
  • Excellent requirement-gathering technics. Ability to drive requirement-gathering process end to end
  • Strong understanding of UML, object-oriented analysis and diagramming technics
  • Evident technical background
  • Proven hands on data analysis skills
  • Good knowledge of source to target data mapping
  • Considerable experience with various data source formats (XML, CSV, database, web-services)
  • Good SQL
  • Strong understanding of system integration approaches and interfaces
  • Understanding of Scrum framework. Ability to write clear User Stories
  • Financial domain knowledge (preferable)
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Fluent English

Location: London, UK

Salary: GBP 75,000 ? 85,000
