This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for an ambitious Science Teacher to become part of a highly successful department and school!
The successful Science Teacher will be available to join this school in January on a full-time, permanent contract and as the school caters to students between the ages of 11 - 18, however you will only be required to deliver high quality science lessons up to GCSE, unless you have the ability and desire to teach at A Level. As Science Teacher, you will be working within a fast-paced, friendly and creative learning environment and will be teaching classes from Year 7 to Year 11 that have been grouped by student ability, you will therefore be required to predominantly differentiate your lessons for each class rather than each individual student.
The school are based within the suburban London borough of Harrow and cater to a coeducational and culturally diverse cohort of students between the ages of 11 - 18. In recent years the school has been reported as Good by Ofsted and their Sixth Form was reported as Outstanding due to the curriculum matching the needs of the students extremely well in order for them to make substantial progress.
To be considered for the role you must have the following:
- Relevant Degree.
- Qualified Teacher Status.
- The ability to teach all sciences (chemistry, physics and biology) to GCSE.
- Strong behaviour and management skills.
- Excellent subject knowledge.
- Good understanding of the national curriculum.
