Nursery Manager - Bracknell

We are looking for a Nursery Manager to join our clients' fantastic nursery. They provide an environment where learning is fun and a challenge to the inquisitive and active young child. Children are taught individually and in small groups to develop their own intellectual, creative, physical and social abilities through stimulation within the classroom and outside.

They provide a friendly working environment that ensures staff stay with them for many years! They currently have staff that have worked for the nurseries for over fifteen years, who have progressed through the company from a Nursery Practitioner to the position they now hold within the management team.

Job Role: Nursery Manager

Hours: Term Time Only:

Monday - 9:00am - 1:15pm

Tuesday - 9:00am - 1:15pm

Wednesday - 9:0am - 3:00pm

Thursday - 9:00am - 1:15pm

Friday - 9:00m - 1:15pm

Salary: Dependant on experience and qualifications (This will be discussed in an interview)

Job Description:

To work with groups of children or with a child on an individual basis to promote their development through reference to the Early Years Foundation Stage and ensure that all children are working towards their next steps of learning.To set up/pack away the nursery each day, which includes the moving of large furniture & heavy lifting, with due reference to your own health and safety and that of children, staff and visitors in the nursery.To carrying out of administrative tasks by completing paperwork, as and when required.To ensure that files in the nursery are maintained in good order, updated when appropriate, viewed by staff regularly and that each page is signed and dated by staff members as and when read to signify their understanding and compliance with of any policies and procedures contained.To ensure the appropriate records are maintained neatly, kept up to date and accessible where appropriate.To inform the Principal without delay of any concerns relating to Safeguarding, Health & Safety, Behaviour Management or Special Educational Needs.To undertake any other appropriate duties as required by the Principal.

What you need:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
  • You must live within a 20 minute drive of Bracknell
  • Experience of working as Nursery Manager/Deputy Manager previously.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience post qualifying.
  • Sound knowledge of Ofsted Statutory Framework.
  • A sound knowledge of child protection procedures.
  • Knowledge and understanding of key legislation related to childcare and education.
  • The ability to plan and organise work load.
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS.
  • Up to date First Aid training.
