An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join the my clients Accounts Team based in Cannock. This role is twofold; firstly you will be required to assist in the preparation of the statutory accounts for a number of companies including the main UK trading entity. You will also help to prepare and support the statutory local audits of these entities. Secondly you will also be involved in the completion of the shared service centre (SSC) audits. Principle responsibilities: - Adhere to statutory accounts processes, procedures and timetables - Keep the statutory accounts reconciliation file up to date for all companies and ensure it matches to SAP. This document is a mirror of the statutory accounts - Complete journal templates and post them into SAP - Update the statutory accounts system (Caseware) and ensure it reconciles with the statutory accounts reconciliation file - Prepare documentation for the statutory audits and provide to the auditors - Follow up on queries with other departments for the SSC and local audits - Assist in intercompany reconciliation process - Complete the Corporation Tax packs for all companies - Involvement in other projects across the SSC to improve the audit process Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications Required: Part-Qualified - ACA, ACCA or CIMA - Statutory accounts audit experience essential in either Practice or Industry - Knowledge of SAP and Caseware preferred - Advanced Excel skills - Must be able to work unsupervised, in an organised way, able to manage own time and prioritise work to meet all deadlines. - Strong inter-personal skills are required to liaise confidently with other parts of the Business - Must be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail to produce accurate information This role is based in Cannock
