The Role - SEN Teaching Assistant
You will be based in the secondary side of this all through SEMH school and so will be supporting children from 11-18 years that social, emotional and mental health needs. You will be required to support students both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups and so previous 1:1 expeirence is ideal. You do not necessarily need to have classroom experience but more so experience with challenging behaviour. Ideally, this school are looking for an SEN teaching assistant that is educated to degree level but the nature of the degree is not essential at this stage. In this SEN Teaching Assistant role you will also be required to ensure that lessons are creative, fun and entertaining for your students and ensure that they participate and take part fully in the lessons.
The School - SEMH School
Found in the London Borough of Wandsworth this SEMH School are expanding and therefore require an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their fantastic team. The class sizes are of around 6-8 students and students are aged between 4-18 years. The students have mixed needs but all students suffer with social, emotional and mental health need.
