Job Title - Travel Underwriter Contract - Permanent Salary - Please apply for details Location -Bristol Industry - Insurance Company (Insurance, Underwriter, Travel, GAP, Personal Lines, Household) Summary:- Our client a Global Insurer requires a Senior Travel Underwriter to join their established team. This a great opportunity for the right individual experienced in Travel Underwriting. Responsibilities will include:- - Assess all Travel risks,scheme providers and the internal underwriting/claims teams to secure the best possible terms for the company and within your own personal authority levels; - Liaise with Insurer partners for risks that exceed our binder limits; - Underwrite products in accordance with the Insurer binding authority to deliver targeted underwriting results and process risks as and when required; - Act as a product expert for the product range and support the personal development of the underwriting staff in the business by delivering technical guidance; - Assist in the undertaking of internal staff audits; - Work collaboratively with other parts of the organisation, when required; - Contribute to the technical knowledge of the Company by feeding back technical and commercial market intelligence; - To undertake training in line with agreed objectives and keep up-to-date with technical, legal and market developments via use of e-learning, internal training and reading market related material; - To maintain and develop personal knowledge and skills through continued professional development as well as ongoing at desk training and ensuring that this is recorded in line with Training & Competency requirements; - To conduct the business of the Company at all times in a courteous and efficient manner; - The jobholder will, at various times, act for the insured and insurer. The jobholder will be responsible for adhering to all the Group's procedures and policies in relation to the identification and management of potential conflicts of interest and for the fair treatment of customers, and will ensure they follow the systems and controls operating to ensure that this is the case.
