In this dynamic role, our Management Assurance Executive will have a key responsibility in assuring the corporate compliance of Certas Energy?s commercial and operational projects. This is a rare opportunity to work in a diverse position, touching every aspect of our multi-faceted company and providing a perfect platform for growing and developing skills and knowledge within a large corporate entity.
With a strong background in audit and finance, the Management Assurance Executive will lead the interaction with group internal audit, managing and closing out audit actions in conjunction with the relevant stakeholders. They will be expected to fully integrate themselves into the business, proactively liaising with these stakeholders, taking the lead on projects and reporting compliance findings to Senior Management. Stakeholders will include Directors and senior management, the wider finance community and colleagues across sales, operations and our various specialist departments. The Management Assurance Executive will also act as Secretary to the Compliance Committee, a Committee consisting of Directors and chaired by the Head of Legal.
Are you a potential Certas Energy Management Assurance Executive? We?re looking for:
? ICAS/ICAEW, ACCA or IIA qualification
? A proven track record of audit work (either through an accountancy firm or within an internal audit department) across corporate, strategic, operational, financial and HR processes
? A desire to understand every facet of the business and to support and strengthen assurance within those facets
? Strong personal skills and a willingness to create relationships with stakeholders within the business
? Ability to lead and manage projects and coordinate numerous stakeholders
? Experienced with reviewing and compiling data and reporting finding to senior management
? Strong negotiator
We employ around 2,500 colleagues based across our depots around the UK from the highlands of Scotland to the Channel Islands. We recruit sales people to sell our fuel, oils and lubricants as well as drivers to deliver the products to our customers who may be individual home owners, farmers, small or large businesses. Also essential to our business are our management teams and colleagues within Marketing, HR, Finance, IT, Health and Safety and Legal. Along with Health and Safety, Compliance is seen as an absolutely essential part of all that we do and there is strong support for Compliance through the entire business from Director level through to our depot colleagues.
In addition, we have a dedicated team of service engineers who work within Team Energy. Key to our success are our people and our learning and development team ensure we can nurture our talent and support colleagues with their aspirations and growth through programmes such as Inspire, our WOW training courses and apprenticeships.
