Working for an internationally renowned manufacturer of mechanical, electrical, electronic and mechatronic industrial products and systems, as a Mechanical Design Engineer you'll take on a senior role within the technical development and engineering division.

The scope and diversity of projects you'll work on will be vast. You will supply industrial clients in the UK and across the globe with mechanical and mechatronic systems used in the IT and industrial manufacturing industries. Working closely with customers, you will lead project teams and develop bespoke mechanical designs using your proven design, mechanical engineering and 3D CAD systems experience.

If you're a mechanical design engineer with a background similar to that described below, this really is "that" career defining job opportunity you've been waiting for. A full job specification will be supplied on application.

Essentially we require mechanically biased design engineers with industrial design experience. You will also be a proficient user of 3D CAD with any proven experience with SolidWorks being advantageous. It is also essential that you have supporting mechanical (or similar product design) engineering qualifications ideally to degree level or beyond.

We are also ideally looking for design engineers with project management and project life cycle experience who have seen concepts through all design stages to eventual production and customer delivery.

Experience designing mechanically driven IT / industrial systems or products would be very advantageous so please make such experience clear in your CV.

You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to work well with clients face to face, understand their specific needs and then devise and develop suitable mechanical solutions to meet their design spec.

Although this role is biased towards mechanical design, exposure to, or at least an understanding of mechatronic, electronic and/or embedded system solutions would be very advantageous.

If you are a mechanical design engineer and you want to work for an award winning manufacturer who offer industry leading remuneration packages alongside personal development plans and training that surpasses competition in the UK and abroad, apply now making sure to clearly highlight your most relevant experience for this post.

Please forward your CV following on screen application instructions. If selected for the interview shortlist you will receive a full job description which gives an in depth explanation of all the aspects of this exciting position.
