As a Spanish Graduate Teaching Assistant you will be working in the school's foreign languages department. You will be tasked with supporting the MFL teachers and their pupils. You will be spread across different year groups depending on the demands of the department. The school require candidates to assist in raising the competency levels of pupils learning foreign languages as well as supporting GCSE MFL and A Level pupils. Certain pupils find learning foreign languages difficult so the ability to find different and innovative methods to aid learning will stand you in excellent stead.

As with all Graduate Teaching Assistant positions the demands placed on candidates are wide and varied. One day is seldom similar to the next or the previous. At times you may be expected to work one-on-one with a pupil who may have specific barriers to learning. At other times you could be expected to break off from the main class with a small group of high achieving students that require work of a more challenging nature.
