Hardware and Software Support Engineer - based in Oxford - salary up to £35,000 DOE + package We`re working with an innovative start-up specialising in healthcare technology based in Oxford who are looking for a Hardware and Software Support Engineer to join their already growing team of passionate engineers. This is an exciting time to join the organisation and having left the commercial research phase they are now looking to implement the necessary processes to enable the business to scale and grow. The organisation is looking to find a solid support technician with a wide range of skills which will aid in field and operations of their offices. The successful candidate will be travelling to client and research partner locations frequently. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to expand on their current technical knowledge in an ever-changing and thriving healthcare sector. As a Hardware and Software Support Engineer some of your responsibilities will include: - Provide the field support needed for research visits, customer surveys, install planning and delivery - Owning the stock management processes from receipt, through quality control and testing and to deployment - Support experiments with the Research team, to improve system functionality and hardware optimisation The flexibility to travel frequently and a Full UK driving license is essential for this role. As the successful candidate, you will need a wide range of technical experience and be confident picking up and delivering on new projects and technologies. To be considered for the role the Support Specialist will need to be able to demonstrate the following experience: - Be proficient in problem-solving - Have relevant exposure to IT hardware and software systems (ideally video-based systems such as CCTV) - Be experienced in preparing, testing, installing and commissioning equipment in the field through to support - Diligent and methodical in your approach, with a detailed focus in regards to record keeping and documentation - Comfortable interacting with customers - Have experience in hardware and software support - Be eager to develop a career in the healthcare sector Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical team members within an Agile environment will be vital.
