Mitel IP 3300 Engineer

Location: Home based. Uk wide travel.
Benefits: Basic salary up to £39,000 + Car + package

Our client is a well-established, specialist telecommunications company which installs and maintains voice and data solutions.The company is a market leader in providing innovative voice and data technology solutions to the hospitality industry and is an authorised reseller on behalf of world class manufacturers such as Mitel, Ruckus, Samsung, Zyxel, ANTLabs, HP and Cisco-Meraki.

There is now a requirement for an additional home-based field engineer to join the team. The successful candidate will have a background of installing and maintaining the Mitel 3300 telephone system in all of its variants (ICP, MCD and MiVoice Business) and a knowledge of the Mitel SX2000 would be advantageous. If you have knowledge of voicemail/call management, networking and high speed broadband or experience of IT Support within the hospitality industry this would be a plus, but is not essential. The ideal geographic living area will be central or the South East of the UK. Anywhere from Birmingham to Surrey to M1 - M25 - M4 are all good locations as the role is home based.

The role will involve overnight stays where appropriate which may, at times, involve being away from home for a number of nights at a time. The role also includes taking part in the on-call rota providing out-of-hours support, generally on a one week in four or five basis. Also it will include days working remotely from home and occasional visits to the company's office.

The primary aspect of this role will involve supporting key customers who in the main have either Mitel 3300 or SX2000 systems. However, this is a mixed role with the successful candidate eventually becoming competent in the installation and support of all of the company's products and which includes spending time as part of the second line support team when appropriate.

You will be well-presented, have an excellent telephone manner, be confident when meeting customers on site and must be flexible in their approach. Strong communication skills, a professional approach, a flexible positive attitude and good proactive problem solving skills are essential.
